How do I create a staff schedule?

Start with each day's needs: opening hours, busy periods and required skills. Add everyone's availability and contract terms, place shifts, check hours per person, then publish the schedule early enough. In the module, drag and drop shifts and everyone receives their schedule through a secure link.

Which software should I use for staff scheduling?

For a small team, a spreadsheet is enough at first. Software becomes useful when hours change often or determine your appointments. Shiftbase, for example, charges per employee beyond its free plan for 15 employees. Team scheduling costs €290 then €59/month excl. VAT, with unlimited members, and its hours open your booking slots.

How much does Team scheduling cost?

Can I transfer my existing team and schedules?

Yes. Your project manager works with you to transfer your team list, roles and usual working hours, and sets up a typical week that fits your business. You start with a foundation ready to adjust, rather than a blank page. Your past schedules serve as a model for the first week, which you can then copy as often as you like.

Does every employee need an account, and is pricing per person?

No to both. A team member is an entry in your schedule, not an account to create or a seat to pay for. Everyone views their schedule on their phone through a secure link received by email, without installing an app. The price stays the same whatever your team size.

Can employees request leave or a shift swap?

Yes, from their mobile view: request leave, mark themselves unavailable or ask for a shift swap. Nothing takes effect automatically: requests reach your dashboard for you to approve or decline in one click. An approved absence removes the team member from the rota and, if you take appointments, closes their slots.

Does the module track each team member's hours?

Yes. The module displays a clear hours total for each member, including breaks and night shifts, to help you balance the week. Approved absences and shift swaps are reflected immediately: see at a glance who works how many hours, week after week.
