Our client Alma Café has just launched its brand-new e-commerce website, created by Eazyclick, and the occasion is too good not to share.

The story behind the project

Behind Alma Café are Margaux and Maxime, two founders with close ties to Venezuela's history, a country with a rich coffee heritage that long remained outside the speciality coffee scene. Their mission from the outset: restore its rightful place. The concept comes down to a phrase on their new website: “from tree to cup”. Alma Café selects beans directly from farms in Venezuela and Colombia, brings them over and roasts them artisanally in its own workshop in Nivelles. Each coffee carries the name and story of its origin, and the packaging, illustrated by artist Marine Lucas de Peslouan, tells that little piece of history on every bag.

A new address to visit

A major new development: Alma Café now has its own premises open to the public on Rue Louis Braille in Nivelles, where you can smell, taste and take home beans directly from the roasting workshop. The duo also offers 3-hour discovery workshops exploring coffee's origins, trying roasting and introducing “Le Nez du Café”, a playful aroma exercise, before a comparative tasting at the end.

What the new website offers

The website lets you order the full range online (around ten origin coffees, discovery boxes, merchandise, reusable capsules), and discover the office offering: coffee in returnable 4 or 10 kg drums, a zero-waste option to replace kitchenette pods. The icing on the cake: Alma Café has just earned official “Artisan Belge Certifié” recognition as certified Belgian craftspeople, formally validating its modern artisan roasting.

To sum up

A website that tells a story, a place you can visit, and coffee that keeps its promises right through to the packaging. It is the kind of project that reminds us we chose the right profession.

Want to see the result yourself? Head to almacafe.be. And if you dream of a website as appealing as what you sell, at Eazyclick, that is exactly the kind of project we love building.
